So guys, I have an issue…. I’m obsessed with too many bands.
Seriously now, its ridiculous. I don’t want to be like all those other Warped Tour, groupie, band lovers. I mean, sure Sleeping with Sirens might have a great base and drum line… and Kellin Quinn. And sure, Pierce the Veil is all Hispanic and their guitars are sick. Not to mention that All Time Low can turn your day around in an instant. And lets not forget Black Veil Brides, Issues, Memphis May Fire, A Day to Remember…..
You see my problem. My ears are always screaming for more though! I get some fun music around me and my heart starts pumping and I’m ready to MOSH until my fists hit something.
It wasn’t always like this though. There was once a time when I was content with the Top 40 pop that would play on the radio all the time. We don’t speak of those times. But then my cousin came to stay with us for a few weeks. He was a year older than me and a “TOTAL PUNK”. He showed me 30 Seconds to Mars and showed me how to play Guitar Hero 3. And I was hooked. I was 14 and a goner. The full transformation didn’t happen until a few years later when I went to Warped Tour. Now here I am, sick and obsessed with music that makes me happier than I’ve ever been.
Music is the one thing that has ever gotten me through anything. It’s constant, consistent and can never break your heart. A band is loyal, hardworking and doesn’t take any of its fans for granted.
I know now that I will always be a slave to music. I hope that never stops.
